Until 1. June 2015 gardeners, garden owners, designers, communities & municipalities, teams and individuals as well as their organisations, such as education institutions, networks and associations from all European nations have the opportunity to compete with their European colleagues. It is the objective of the European Award for Ecological Gardening to award prizes to outstanding, high-quality projects and performances, which have already been implemented and which are based on ecological gardening. The prize winners will be awarded by an international Expert Jury. The interest shown so far in this new and unique competition is great, since the award also takes into consideration ecological garden initiatives in addition to a variety of gardens.
Sustainability is a broad, interdisciplinary field. It is concerned with hard natural scientific data, but also committed to the full scope of the discipline, from individual purchasing decisions through to major global policy. For a better overview, you can also register separately for the three major sections, Gesellschaft und Politik, Wissenschaft und Forschung and Produktion und Konsum.
